XKD Pet MarketplaceEvery companion counts. XKD.org takes a broader, more modern approach to pet identity, certification, records, and community.
Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, exotics, hybrids, and farm companions all have a place on XKD.
XKD centers on the individual animal and the people responsible for its care.
Profiles, certificates, XKD numbers, and care records help information travel with the pet.
Anyone who has ever opened their heart to an animal knows that companionship is about more than papers or pedigrees. It is about the pet who greets you every day, the animal who becomes family, and the bond that makes every companion unique. The American Kennel Club (AKC) and Continental Kennel Club (CKC) are established organizations best known for dog registration, breed records, pedigrees, and breeder services. XKD takes a broader, more modern approach: it gives every pet a verified identity, an official certificate, and a digital profile worth sharing.

XKD certification is designed around the owner or breeder - not stressful, invasive, or harmful procedures involving the animal. Its certification quizzes focus on responsible ownership, animal welfare, nutrition, veterinary care, safety, identification, ethical breeding, genetics, socialization, and lifelong responsibility.
Passing XKD certification represents a meaningful commitment to responsible care and animal welfare. It is not a claim that an animal is purebred, a guarantee of health, government licensing, or automatic breeding approval. That clarity is part of what makes XKD different.

XKD opens the door far beyond traditional dog registries. Its extensive species catalog gives owners a natural place to register animals that may not fit comfortably into conventional breed-based systems. That can include dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates, miniature pigs, goats, horses, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, raccoons, foxes, servals, savannah cats, wolfdog hybrids, and many other extraordinary companions.
Pets can be organized under broad categories such as Family Pet, Exotic, or Hybrid, allowing owners to describe their animals as they truly are instead of forcing them into a category designed for something else.
With XKD, a pet receives more than a name in a database. Owners can create a public profile featuring photos, identifying markings, milestones, status information, and an official XKD number.
XKD gives breeders tools that extend beyond registration paperwork. Pet Breeder accounts can organize litters, record sire and dam information, connect littermates, manage waitlists, and provide new owners with a clearer record when a pet goes home.
The result is a smoother handoff and a stronger continuity of care. A breeder can begin the record, and the new owner can continue building it throughout the pet's life.
Yes. XKD and traditional kennel-club registration can serve different purposes. AKC or CKC documentation may be important for breed history, pedigree, registration, or show-related needs. XKD adds a living digital identity, welfare-centered certification, shareable profiles, care records, privacy controls, and tools designed around the individual pet.
